Photo Every Hour: August 21st

Well, this is one of the quickest turnarounds I've had for getting this hourly photo post up in a long time. Perhaps it's because I'm (foolishly?) optimistic that our lives will become quite a bit more chaotic sooner than later--and that I'll actually have stuff to blog about besides these photo posts? We can only hope....

Rise and shining!

7:00 Breakfast of champions... Or of people with a mild case of gestational diabetes. One of the two

8:00 After being in Minneapolis Thursday-Saturday and having a birthday party and picnic on Sunday, we were all in need of some downtime on Monday morning

9:00 More downtime, although we've made the change into play clothes because naturally we have a few places we need to go

10:00 First stop--take lunch to Darrell because he forgot it at home. Second stop--grocery store (because, well, #food)

11:00 Apparently the boys are ready for lunch

12:00 What "nap" time looks like for William these days. And yes, the nursery is a mess. Hopefully baby stays put for at least a little bit longer

1:00 My awesome view of the eclipse. I did enjoy the thunderstorm, though--we even got a little hail!

2:00 Laundry. Always laundry. Although I told Darrell I'm officially done until after baby gets here--I just don't have the mobility needed to get clothes in and out of the machines!

3:00 This kid. He has been obsessed with books lately. Not so much reading them (at least not all of them), but mostly just stacking them in big piles and moving them around the house

4:00 Dinner prepping like a boss

5:00 Waiting much more patiently for dinner than they were for lunch

6:00 Not too shabby of a dinner considering I was single-parenting all day while Darrell was at meetings until after seven

7:00 The bump and myself enjoying a few minutes to kick my feet up

8:00 Stories in bed

9:00 Like I was actually going to be productive today after the kids went to bed (and yes, the bump is obscuring the keypad. It pretty much gets in the way of everything these days)

10:00 Typical bedtime snack--cottage cheese and a little fruit (currently in the form of homemade sorbet/frozen yogurt)

Lights out!

Photo Every Hour: July 21st

July's "Photo Every Hour" is brought to you by my wonderful parents and our family vacation to the Palmer Gulch Lodge in the Black Hills. It was a long day of travel to get out there on Thursday the 20th, but we made up for it with plenty of fun on the 21st!

Because of course my boys wouldn't sleep in on the first day of vacation #momlife

7:00 Although I guess I can't complain too much about being up early when this is my view

8:00 Silly boys

9:00 Second breakfast #myboysarehobbits #yeswearestillinpajamas #vacationlife

10:00 Story time with cousin Rose

11:00 When the big boys are away at a "real" golf course, the little boys will play putt-putt!

12:00 Lunch spread

1:00 Finally. Vacation time for Mommy

2:00 This kid. He spent at least two hours of the drive on Thursday coloring in this book, and before we left on Sunday he had the entire book colored. Suffice to say it was $5 well spent (and yes, he has his tongue out. Coloring requires the utmost concentration)

3:00 Pool Time!

4:00 More putt-putt. Having this (free!) course at the resort within walking distance of our cabin was probably the highlight of the trip for my boys

5:00 Waiting on the Fam Damily to head out for dinner

6:00 Sampling the local food and wine fare at Prairie Berry Winery

7:00 Thankfully there was entertainment for the boys, because apparently wining and dining eight adults and four children is a little bit of a long process

8:00 Story time with Grandma and Grandpa before bed

9:00 Bonfire time in the cool mountain evening? Yes please

10:00 More bonfire because #vacation

Bedtime!
And because I know I won't get around to typing up another post about our trip out to the Black Hills, I have to throw a few pictures on here from our Saturday adventure. We booked a trip on a 1880s train that took us from Hill City to Keystone and back again. It was fun for young and old(er) alike!

Okay, so obviously not a photo of the train ride, but I had to throw this family picture in as well!
